Both title pages are in red and black. ESTC reference number: R30084. This work is an English translation of Louis Moreri's 'Le Grand dictionnaire Historique' and the title page notes that it has been enlarged by Edmond Bohun. Morei's dictionary was early in a European trend of subject specific dictionaries and encyclopaedias. It was also a springboard for Pierre Bayle's 'Dictionnaire Historique et Critique'. CONDITION In a full diced calf binding. With a small loss to the head of spine. Patches of rubbing to the joints and extremities. Several marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots to pages.
