The memoir of George Carleton, an English officer who served during the Dutch Wars of the 1670s, and in Spain, before he was captured by the Spanish in 1708. The authorship of this memoir has been much refuted since it's publication. Very speedy delivery and extremely well packaged. The book is in wonderful condition for age, better I think than described. This now sits alongside a companion volume, another work of Worcestershire historian and antiquarian, John Noak. I very much looking forward to reading it. As for price, I snatched the offer and am extremely pleased that I did. This seller is a perfect find on eBay and I would purchase from them without hesitation, saved seller, excellent.
