Written by Pierre Saintard, this book discusses the role of the American colonies in establishing and continuing trade with Europe, as well as discussing the amount of power that should be given to the colonies . Per the JFBL, “A consideration of Europe's involvement in North America with a view to establishing a balance of power among the colonizing nations which would eliminate war and encourage commerce.” It should be noted, the dating on this work is a bit ambiguous. According to multiple sources, this work was published in 1756 with the title page being a cancel – a crudely added “I” to the dating to make it read 1757.
