Spine is wrapped with a glossy brown vinyl (?) binding tape extending approx 1 3/4" onto the boards . Contents are very good, bright. Clear tape repair to small closed tear p. 5 fore-edge; p 75 lower fore-edge corner clipped with no loss to text; p 199, short pencil notation in margin. \ The 1763 second edition of John Foster's work on linguistics, with additions to the work published the previous year. A scarce work, excellent candidate for rebinding.
