Description
Sarah Grubb was a Quaker minister, writer and founder of a girl’s school in Ireland, the Clonmel School where one of their teachers was Susanna Corder, another prominent Quaker teacher and writer. Gurbb’s father, William Tuke, helped found three Quaker schools: Ackworth School, Bootham School and Trinity Lane Quaker Girls’ School. Grubb and her husband spent several years traveling Europe as Quaker missionaries. The book is in good condition, with a cracked spine and some cracked hinges. Inside the front is a label from Joseph Brinton proclaiming his purchase of htis and 100 other volumes from Catherine Jacobs, widow of Joshua Jacob of West Chester, Pennsylvania. On the title page at the upper corner is written “R Harvey 1835”. The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home. Welcome home to this little gem in the form of a small book. I will take very good care of you! I highly recommend this seller.

Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
