Compiled by Presidents Burr, Finley, and others for the use of the grammar schools throughout the United States. Overall Condition: VERY GOOD+ antiquarian condition. Published in 1793 by Edward Gray in Springfield, Massachusetts. Eighth edition, as stated on title page. In contemporary full speckled leather binding with blind stamped paneling and two modern red leather spine labels with gilt lettering. Collated and complete. Octavo, 6 1/8” x 3 5/8”. 117 pages (including index). CONDITION REPORT: VERY GOOD+ antiquarian condition. The contemporary speckled leather binding is in remarkably beautiful condition - shiny and supple, light rubbing to extremities and joints. Area of worming on rear board. Ex-ownership writing in antique ink on front and rear paste downs. Firm joints, tight binding, boards attached, hinges reinforced with professional hinge tape. The usual toning and areas of foxing ubiquitously found in early American publications. A beautiful collectible copy of a scarce early American book!
