Externally, a little worn with some splitting to the joints and loss to the heads and tails of the spines. With some marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting to iv but remains firm. I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
