With sections on heraldry, biography, horticulture, natural history, musics, optics, mineralogy. CONDITION In a half calf binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the head and tail of spine and to the raised bands. Small loss to the head of spine to volume IX. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright. Chips to the occasional edges.     I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
