Condition Good condition, with some rubbing to extremities and moderate sunning to spine. Otherwise just modest signs of use. Previous owners' bookplates on front endpapers (those of William Charles Smith and Charles George Milnes Gaskell; one Hugh Dodge has signed and dated the Gaskell bookplate; Gaskell was a 19th century English lawyer and Liberal Party politician; Smith was possibly the English musicologist who also served as Assistant Keeper of Printed Books at the British Museum from 1920-1944).
