Description
A very scarce original 1819 copy of the Memoirs of Henry Obookiah from a local VT estate. This little leather bound book is in fair to good antique condition, depending on one's meter. There is wear to the cover and some damage to the lower back side of the binding- toning and foxing throughout. The book was owned by one Luther Stowell of Londonderry, VT. A quick online search shows him to have been elected as a deacon of the local meeting house in the 1820s. Henry Obookiah is recognized as the Hawaiian native who brought Christianity to the islands. Please look carefully at my photos as they are your best description and ask questions before you bid. Shipping quoted is for the Continental US.
