Previous owner's ex-libris plate on front paste down endpaper. Missing front free endpaper. Surface scraping on a portion of the title page. Some doodling on rear endpapers. Pages have age toning. Pg 60 torn and taped with some antique paper tape, page 88 has a tear without tape. Text is still readable on these pages. Page 77 has a tear on the bottom part of the text of the footnotes text is still legible. Scarce. All above excellent, well packaged, shipped quickly and a quick read because of excellent writing style and very interesting events in Turner's life. He was a fascinating person, and his biographer did an excellent job of sharing his knowledge of Turner's abilities and shortcomings. I liked it, am keeping the copy, and would purchase from this seller in the future. A+ in every way.
