Baxter, Oxford, 1827, 360 pp plus index, full gilt embellishment leather, 8.5 x 5.5”, 8vo. In as-is condition. Moderate wear to extremities with scuffed corners and cracking front joint. Top compartment of spine is splitting from joint. Gilt tooling remains bright. Dark staining to front board.. perhaps ink? Spine abraded with splitting of leather and tarnished gilt tooling. Hinges poorly repaired with cloth tape in front and rear. Applied with a thick, non-archival glue. Old hand ownership on front pastedown. Brittle edges on end papers, chipped and stained. Binding broken. Scattered foxing throughout. Numerous instances of underlining in pencil. Please see photos. COLR1827ADEN

Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
