The 1836 Volume bound in half leather with gilt lettering and spine decoration. These works are memoirs of celebrated persons who have died in the years 1833-1835. This includes Charles Lamb, Bishop Jebb, William Blackwood, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and James Hogg, amongst many others. Included is also a General Biographical List of Persons who have died in those years. CONDITION In mixed bindings. The bindings are generally tight and firm. The hinges of volume 1835 are just starting. The front inner hinges are slightly strained. There is some mild wear to the extremities, including some mild bumping and rubbing. Internally the pages have slight browning and intermittent spots or handling marks, most prominent to the endpapers in the 1835 volume.
