Third Edition. By Robley Dunglinson and printed in Philadelphia by Lea and Blanchard. 1842. 749 pp. 9.75” x 6”. 8vo. Hardcover full leather. In good condition, with superficial scuffing to boards, including staining remnants at top. Some cracking and loss to parts of leather on spine. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Light wear to middle of text block. Ex-libris bookplate to front pastedown, along with light markings and inscriptions. Includes folded letter. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce medical dictionary, accompanied by a two-page folded letter from 1955 by Alan Mason Chesney (1888-1964), an American doctor and dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for over two decades.     The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home. Welcome home to this little gem in the form of a small book. I will take very good care of you! I highly recommend this seller.

    Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
