It contains over 650 printed pages. This is a beautiful copy of this rare antique book. The bright leather covers are stunning. The spine features a black blocked title with gold gilt lettering, which has faded with age. The binding itself is solid and secure, holding all of the pages in their proper places. This copy shows some typical wear for a book of this age, although it has been extremely well preserved and remains in great condition overall. The text block is sturdy, complete, and tight. The pages are still shockingly easy to flip through. The pages have some minor tanning from age, with few markings. There is a previous owner’s name written in ink on one of the first blank pages of the book. This is a stunning leather English Reference Book that is worthy of a spot on any English Lover’s or Book Lover’s bookshelf!
