Harvey, was originally published in parts between 1838 and 1841. The present copy complete with two books bound in one. Written by Charles Knight, English publisher and author known for his contributions to The Penny Magazine , and The English Cyclopeedia. CONDITION in a half straight up grain morocco binding over cloth covered boards, gilt to top edge. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, minor rubbing along the joints, spine, and extremities, few light damp marking to rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to first and last few leaves, otherwise pages bright and clean throughout. With numerous lovely illustrations in text. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
