This is a handsome set of "The Life and Times of OLIVER GOLDSMITH" by John Forster. 1871 5th edition (stated); Chapman and Hall; London. Complete set in two volumes. Each volume contains an engraved frontispiece with tissue guards, as well as in-text illustrations and facsimile documents. Nicely bound in three-quarter leather with marbled boards, marbled end papers, marbled page edges on all sides, and spines with gilt decorations and five raised bands. Each volume contains an Appendix; there is an Index at the back of volume II.
