This is a partial set of The American Cyclopaedia , volumes I through VII, published by D. Appleton & Co. The set includes: Volume I (1873) Volume II (1873) Volume III (1873) Volume IV (1879) Volume V (1879) Volume VI (1874) Volume VII (1874) These are the first seven volumes in sequence, though from varying years of publication. All are original 19th-century editions, leather-bound with marbled page edges. Condition: The leather covers show typical wear for their age, including corner and edge damage, surface peeling, and some splitting along the spine joints. All covers remain securely attached. Page edges also show discoloration and wear from age and handling. Inside, the pages are aged but in good, readable condition. Most are unmarked, though some volumes may contain prior owner notations such as pricing, acquisition dates, names, or dates completed. Absolutely terrific. Seller shipped promptly with these high-quality crystal flutes in the original box inside another box with excellent padding. Arrived in perfect condition. Item was reasonably priced. The description and photos were exceedingly helpful in accurately determining the item's condition. While I would have preferred to save a few bucks on slower shipping, I can understand why the vendor would stick to one standard shipping method. Item packing was highly secure and professional.
