Edited by Joseph Foster. Profusely illustrated throughout with images from the University. Collated, only lacking plate facing page forty eight to volume one, titled 'Part of Quadrangle from an engraving by Skelton.' 'Library, with view of Christ Church Cathedral by J M W Turner from Skelton' to Volume Two facing p.721 instead of p.727, 'Fellows Building from an engraving by Skelton' to Volume Two facing p.745 instead of p.743, and 'Sheldonian, Interior, "Oxford Almanack", 1820' facing p.1497 instead of p.1499. CONDITION In the original publisher's half morocco binding and cloth covered boards with gilded top edges. Externally very smart with only minor shelfwear and minor rubbing to the leather. Volume One has a slight damping mark to the rear board, slightly cockling the rear pastedown. A minor touch of edge wear. The leather to the spine is slightly faded. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean, with the occasional unopened leaf. Profusely illustrated throughout. Collated, only lacking plate facing page forty eight to volume one, titled 'Part of Quadrangle from an engraving by Skelton.'
