UNIVERSAL DICTIONARY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE VOLUME I-IV Profusely Illustrated Edited by Robert Hunter and Charles Morris Published by Peter Fenelon Collier 1899 These books are in fair to good condition. The first two volumes do have a split spine. Volume one is split between some pages at the end. Volume two is closer to the middle of the book. That said, they are fully intact. Volume three and four do not have such issues. They all have straight spines and largely clean pages (a soi;l spot here and there). The covers are partially leather and the end papers are marbled. The text block is marbled as well but has faded. They contain numerous full page color illustrations. Please see all of my pictures for the best determination of condition.
