Smith, A.M., from the Original Shorthand Ms. in the Pepysian Library, with a Life and Notes by Richard Lord Braybrooke. Four volumes. London: George Bell and Sons, 1900. Three-quarter brown leather with marbled side and matching endpapers. Top edges gilt. Two gilt-stamped lettering pieces on spines of each volume and three gilt fleurons stamped in other spine compartments. Several engravings in each volume. Good condition. Boards worn, lettering piece corner chipped on volume II, owner name (Edward Willis) on front flyleaves, two small brown spots on marbled area of volume III front boards, pages toned. A handsome set.
