CONDITION Handsomely bound in full calf binding with gilt stamping to the boards and spine. Externally, very smart, with minor shelf wear and small amount of rubbing to the head of the spine. A few spots and handling marks to the first and last few pages, but otherwise pages are bright and clean.     I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
