This limited edition is an exact recreation of the book personally inscribed by Mrs. Sam Colt to Mrs. Amelia A. Jarvis (her Aunt), Christmas, 1866. Armsmear was the first Colt book and was published just four years after Colt's death. Author's Henry Barnard and J.D. Butler had access to first-hand sources. They drew on factory executives and other major associates and friends of Colt, scrapbooks kept of the Colonel's work and travels, correspondence and from such public records as U.S. and British government reports in addition to the information provided by Colt's widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Hart Colt. **All net proceeds benefit the Bakersfield SPCA**
