Temperature and moisture-controlled rooms, cleaning, etc. However, some of the books I purchased were damaged when I bought them and that's part ofits history. I don't remove any of the prior owner’s marks, scribbles orlibrary cards. It’s part of what makes the book fascinating especially when it’sbeen passed down from one generation to another. There may be very slightvariations or natural imperfections in the materials which is what make eachbook charming and unique. You will receive the book pictured, it’s awesome!
