Mr. Bayle's Historical and Critical Dictionary. The Second Edition. To which is prefixed, the Life of the Author, by Mr. des Maizeaux, fellow of the Royal Society. Five volumes,1734. With a copy of Selections from Bayle's Dictionary edited by Beller and Lee, Princeton University Press, 1952. Half leather bound with marbled boards and black and red spine labels, as well as gilt spine decorations. Top edges gilt. In volume one bottom two cords detached from front board, and rear board is slightly loose, but attached at all five cords. All other volumes' boards solidly attached. Boards have scuffing, wear, rubbed edges, especially noted on volume one. Pages bright without foxing. (See pictures.) Shipping: Media Mail, or ask for a quote for Priority Mail, insured.
