Lovely older hardcover; in very good, close to like new VINTAGE condition, unused/unread, book marker is still in original place ** only sign of previous owner is an uninked embossed stamp. A Beautiful light brownish rust leather bound book, with 22kt gold embossed pattern and spine. Pages are tight, an uninked embossed stamp inside, but no writings, markings or bookplates. Printed on archival paper with gilded edges. The ends papers are a silky moire fabric and book has a silk ribbon page marker. Smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints to ensure the highest quality binding. This book was well cared for in a private home and has only very minimal shelf wear, just lovely and hard to believe it is nearly 70 years old- still gift quality. My intent was to replace lost editions of Linda Greenlaw's books. This provided an opportunity to do so. The books arrived today (Wed. 1/29) and upon opening the box, the condition of the books surpassed my expectations. In addition, it included a book I had not read and am looking forward to reading. The books were well packaged for shipping, considering they were to be shipped from the west coast to the east coast. The books arrived in pristine condition. I certainly do recommend this seller.

Items were shipped fast and it was very nicely packaged! The three books that came in the lot were in better condition than described. I also appreciate the kind note that the seller left and the two nice bookmarks that came with the book I bought from this seller. As a sucker for Penguin Classics this was a great and valuable find, especially the Xenophon book since I'm not sure why it's a bit pricy to find the latest copy! Awesome and caring seller!
