The gold on the covers looks like new. The end pages show light fading. The gilt on the edge of the pages is in almost perfect condition with a scratch on the side. Please see photos. The books I purchased just arrived, and they complete my search for the missing books in my collection, which I began in 1978 and discontinued sometime around 1981. I am so happy to have them! Books were beautifully packed, shipped quickly, and arrived in perfect condition. They are all exactly as described in the listing, most in mint condition and obviously unread. This was an awesome transaction! I got a fantastic price on a beautiful book in virtually mint condition, as described. There were 3 books in my order, so shipping was combined and was very reasonable. Packaging was top notch, with bubble wrap between and around the books, and packing paper filling up the sturdy box.
