Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Fisher 440T. This includes replacements for all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the Fisher 440T receiver. New capacitors are Epcos, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Wima film, Kemet, and Supertech axial caps. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. New caps are the same or very close capacitance, and the same or higher voltage ratings. The kit includes new axial capacitors to replace the old axial caps, and new radial caps to replace the radials. The 1500 uf can capacitors on top are replaced with new 1500 uf 100v Epcos snap-in caps--you can remove the old caps and epoxy the new ones to the top. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your receiver, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18. I only required a full recap kit without the main filter caps. Ben was very cooperative and put this together for me without hesitation. The kit arrived in Canada within the described period. Shipping is pricey to begin with to Canada and when I picked up my package from the post office I was dinged $39 dollars in duty fees.
