Fisher FM-1000 FM Stereo Tuner For Restoration Up for sale is a Vintage Fisher FM-1000 FM Stereo Tuner for Restoration . As the photos show, this is in excellent condition for its age. New dial display LED bulbs and feet are installed. The VU Audio Meter and Signal Strength Meters lit up however I didn't see any action when tuning in stations etc.. So, I think meters do not work. The tuner tuned in multiple staions and sounded good for me. However I suggest a full restoration and calibration. I tested tubes on my TV7B/U tube tester. V1. 6922/E88CC : ? ( Gold Pin, Minimum is 50/50.) Result : 120/120 V2/3. 6CW4 : No Test ( TV7 cannot test this tube. ) V4/5/6/7/9. 6AU6/EF94 : Fisher ( Minimum is 58.) Result : V4 = 73, V5 = 69, V6 = 98, V7 = 100, V9 = 84 V8. 6BN6 : Fisher ( Minimum is 18/23. ) Result : 28/35 V10. 6BL8/ECF80 : Telefunken ( Minimum is 34/36.) Result : 46/69 V11/12/13. 6DJ8/ECC88 : Amperex ( Minimum is 62/62.) Result : V11 = 120/120, V12 = 120/96, V13 = 120/120 V14/15. 6267/EF86 : Fisher Telefunken ( Minimum is 18.) Result : V14 = 29, V15 = 28 V100/102. 12AT7/ECC81 : Fisher Telefunken ( Min. is 50/50.) Result : V100 = 83/86, V102 = 92/104 V101. 12AX7/ECC83 : Fisher Telefunken ( Minimum is 32/32.) Tape machine in excellent condition as advertised. Prompt shipping. This was a very heavy unit and seller had it incredibly well packaged. Wrapped in foam in inner box, surrounded by more foam in second outer box. Kudos for such a superb job.
