The book is unread and like brand new - it's still in the original shrinkwrap and has not been opened. The book is numbered (exact number is unknown since it hasn't been opened) but is one of only 1000 books in this limited signed edition series. There are no owner's marks, writing, etc. in the book. The book carries no scent from smoking, pets, etc. Certificate of authenticity from the publisher included within the shrinkwrap. The beginning of the book traces his journey from the Bronx to the University of Notre Dame, a subsequent stint in the Navy, and his first hosting gigs, most notably on The Joey Bishop Show. Philbin notes some of his most memorable interviews from those early days, including "king of all the gossip hounds" Walter Winchell and a young Bill Cosby.
