Lewis was the daughter of James Lewis, chairman of Harbison-Walker Refractories company in Pittsburgh. Uniformly bound and labeled vol. 11 is Wiggins' autobiography, "My Garden of Memory," a first edition from 1923. 8.75 x 6 inches, bound in 3/4 dark green morocco and pale green marbled boards, very good or better, spines slightly mellowed to a dark brown, and general browning to front cover of "My Garden of Memory" which was probably exposed to more light than any of the other covers. Each of the 10 volumes with colored frontispiece on velin and plates in browntone also on velin. Very good. Just received my purchase from RareBookStore and I couldn't be happier. The seller graded the book conservatively, which is a welcome relief from all those eBay booksellers who describe their products through rose-colored glasses. The seller packing the book with unusual care--it arrived in a solid cardboard carton with two layers of protective wrapping to protect the book. I so appreciate that level of attention. Suffice it to say, this seller earns my highest recommendation.

Wonderful set, described very well, mailed promptly (given the complexities of packing up heavy books). The books were sent in two boxes that were VERY carefully packed against damage during shipment. They are heavy, and the seller took care to make sure the boxes were stable and wouldn't break down during transport. I appreciate the seller working with me on the price a bit, too - a good value. A+ transaction.
