All edges ART GILT. Bound in 3/4 yapp BLACK CALF leather with bilt stamped spine lettering and blind-ruled panels. Silk-Sewed binding with overcast stitching at the first and last gatherings. viii, 3-1362pp. (Intro, OT, NT, Index); [2], 153-378 (Dictionary); 8 (Atlas Index), 12 color maps on 12 plates. Entirely clean and fresh; with just a touch of rubbing to the extremities, the leather remains very supple; the art gilt edges show just a bit of trivial scuffing but remain entirely bright with no markings whatsoever on the crisp, fresh pages. A very uncommon printing of the Scofield Bible, one of the most deluxe offered by the publisher with high-grade leather and printed on the sort of paper that has not been made for the better part of a century; additionally uncommon in such fine condition, as these Bibles tended to see extensive personal use--we rarely find one in such attractive condition.
