CONDITION NOTES: ACCEPTABLE. Front board detached. Spine covered in modern library cloth, which once held the front cover and is currently adhered to spine and back cover. The original spine leather appears tightly held in the library cloth adhesive. If correct preservation practice was followed (probable) the the original spine can be soaked away from the cloth to be put on a new binding. BINDING: Sheep half over blue marbled boards. . John Taylor (1757–1832) was an English oculist, drama critic, editor and finally newspaper publisher, perhaps most famous for his posthumous memoir Records of My Life.
