SEIKA KARUTA GODZILLA AND DINOSAURS 1978 - TRADITIONAL JAPANESE CARD GAME - DEAD STOCK UNOPENED - NEW When it comes to Godzilla Karuta or paper-made collectibles, this Seika Karuta Godzilla and Dinosaurs card game is rare. In checking the major websites (as of this listing date), no set is available for sale. The card game is dead stock from a retail store in Japan. It has not been opened and the four decks and or packs of cards are wrapped in plastic. All the cards within the tray are new, in mint condition probably with some color fading for being decades old (I am not sure, never opened). The illustration artwork of the Toho Godzilla movie monster characters and dinosaurs represents a Showa period style. I have seen photos of Godzilla with his son Minilla and Hedorah, they look great. I do not know who did the artwork for the cover of the box or the cards. The illustrations are beautiful, and perhaps the illustrations were produced by a well-known Manga artist of the time (1978). The box and or package measures approximately 5.5" in length by 7" in width and 1" in height. The inner box is red in color compared to the green-colored version. Overall, the box is in very good condition for its age with minor creases and dents (see photos). Within the box, there are four packs of cards that measure approximately 2" 3/8 by 3" 1/8. I do not know how many cards there are in total or how many are in a pack. I do not know how many illustrations of the Toho Godzilla movie monster characters and dinosaurs there are. What I know is that in all likely hood, you will never see a complete set like this one, in this condition, listed on any major website. A rare, vintage Goji collectible that is difficult to find and buy in this condition. All my inventory-stock is authorized and licensed by various companies here in the U.S.A., Japan, or abroad.
