No tears or cracks. The oval frontis engraving of Mrs. Godolphin offset a sepia tone to the title page which is an interesting effect.

Item received in 2 days (was only 12 miles away) and packaged securely in bubble wrap and a box. Items are in very good condition for being 60 years old. They are as they appeared in the description. I am very pleased to get these to give as a gift to my brother who lived in Clinton during this time and experienced the flood first hand. Great duo of pictures.
