Description
The New Thompson Chain Reference Bible. This edition was published in 1957 as the Fourth Improved Edition. This particular Thompson Bible was printed in 1964 and is extraordinarily preserved, listed as Like New but it may be better be described as excellent Vintage since it has a library card pasted on the inside of the back cover. This may also explain why it is in this great condition, being stored in a library for all these years. Some of the specifics of the Bible are: -Thompson Chain Reference System, One of the most beloved for nearly 125 years. Known also for the quality of their Bibles, especially when they were made by B.B. Kirkbride Bible Co. in Indianapolis, IN. -Size is approximately 10 inches long by 7.75 inches wide by 2 inches thick. -Black Leather, appears to be a quality genuine leather, though not indicated, flexible and supple, see pictures. -Gold gilded over red edging. Quality Bible Paper, Sewn binding. Purple ribbon marker. -Large print King James Version with very clear, dark print..., estimate of 10 to 11 font.., not Giant print. -Black Letter (Words of Christ Not in Red) -Thumb Index -Lies flatly on table nicely.
