I have purchased hundreds pieces of equipment over 10 years for my own collection and to restore for sale. The Ken Rule: If you are local and wish to purchase an item (typically only speakers), you will need to pick up the item, and I will be unable to deliver under any circumstance unless the following is understood and agreed to: I am unable to help you audition, A/B, or move gear unless I am compensated up front, and it is understood that my time is at least as valuable as yours. If we agree on a trade in lieu of cash payment, you must have this gear ready for me at the time of the transaction. No IOUs. If you end up not liking the speakers or your wife, girlfriend, significant other tells you she doesn't like them, you will be responsible for selling them, I will not take returns unless I am compensated for the time you had the item as if a rental. This rules comes from dealing with an individual who offered an attractive trade if I delivered the speakers to him. This ended up being a tremendous waste of time. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before they're sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they don't work. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. Selling items on eBay is a side effect of collecting vintage electronics. I need an outlet for these items online, so I have no reason to send you something that doesn't work unless I've noted that it doesn't. This is not my day job and I am not here to try to make a quick buck. I will do my best to represent all major cosmetic damage to any items that I sell, but when you purchase something from me, expect minor scratches and nicks unless I've noted that the item is free of them. I pack items correctly. I know what it takes to get an item to you safely. As a result, you may see that the shipping quote shown is higher than you're accustomed to. Rest assured, I lose money on just about every item I ship when packing materials are considered, but if I don't, I will absolutely refund you the difference. You will NOT have to ask for it. I will do my best to get items out within a few days, however there are instances where that is not possible especially around holidays. Please see the handling time to know how long it may take for me to ship an item. The policies here are difficult in this regard because these vintage items in particular need to be moved and packed carefully. I do not want to damage anything by rushing. Buying the proper materials may also take time. I am not as fast as Amazon, but I guarantee I'll pack better.
