Description
1968 Fisher Regent Stereo Console - Needing no introduction this vintage “ Time Capsule “ is near flawless. Radio works/ Aux works . Produces beautiful sound. Dual TT needs repair. For those unfamiliar, The Fisher was the brand owned by the very affluent. Out of reach for the average Joe, this Model Regent with the Fisher R31R Chassis (150 Watts) and Dual 1019 turntable retailed for $999.95 in 1968 ! This particular example is completely unmolested, no cuts to “modify for newer electronics ,etc. Just a few tiny scratches - easily remedied in the Distressed Pecan Cabinet. All information sheets on the back just as it left the factory 54 years ago. This piece represents a bygone era, where “ The Fisher” - as Fisher Radio of America ( established 1949 by Avery Fisher) was called. Built in New Jersey at their only USA plant by the end of the 1960’s or so they were being challenged by the import of cheaper Japanese product to the USA market. Competing against lower priced Japanese product eventually impacted sales and profit. In 1970 Fisher was purchased by Emerson Electronics, who eventually spun them off to Panasonic, where they were refocused to design mass produced product. Some of the Fisher product was still pretty good up into the 1980’s or so. But the Golden Age of Hi - Fi was over. Pick up only. Full demo at pickup. Approx Dimensions: 72 L x 24 H x 17.5 D

I would like to thank the seller - Vintagethingsandmore - for delivering a sentimental treasure painted by the late Harvey Adams, a talented San Diego artist and friend of our family. It now has pride of place in our home among three other Adams paintings. Thank you for the care in the packing, shipping snd delivery. We love the painting and appreciate your service.

Speakers arrived promptly, and were the best price for Klipsch that I found. They are listed below as "used," but they seem new to me, including the packaging.
