Used Japanese yamakatsu bromide card of Spectreman battling the kaiju Gokinozaurus from the tokusatsu TV show Spectreman circa 1971. Item measures roughly 3.5 x 5 inches. BACKGROUND : I purchased these "kaiju cards" myself one at a time as a young boy growing up in Tokyo in the late 1960s/early 70s. Bought most of them at the local mom & pop "10 yen store" in our neighborhood when I didn't have enough money to buy a kaiju sofubi. They came in packs of a couple dozen or so and if you had enough cash you could buy the whole packet. As a 5 or 6 year old I usually only had enough cash on hand to buy one or two cards at a time (and perhaps some candy!). My friends and I used to collect and trade these. Brought these with me when we moved to the U.S. and they've been collecting dust for most of the past 50 years tucked away in drawers, closets, and moving boxes. Finally getting around to selling these on eBay. SHIPPING : The card will be shipped securely in a rigid 6 x 6 mailer and shipped via USPS.
