The book was in its Tenth Edition by 1731.~~William Darrell was a Jesuit. amd was procurator of the province in Paris. He was prefect of studies in the college of St. Omer in 1696, and subsequently fillege the same office at Liege. He was also professor casuistry at Liege, and rector of the college from 1708 to 1712. In 1712 he again became procurator of the Province in Paris. He died at St. Omer in 1721. Very Good binding. This seller had great communication and integrity. I initially asked for an additional photo of something specific which was sent quickly, then I negotiated the price. The seller contacted me with several options when the book's binding failed while being prepared to ship and they were very honest. I took the option for a partial refund and having them repair the book before shipping. Once the repair was made, new pics were sent, the shipping was fast and packaged well. I recommend this seller.
