This 290-page book boasts many illustrations (including some tipped-in color plates) and is an " excellent and well-illustrated scholarly monograph on the surviving eighteenth century court theatre at the Swedish royal palace of Drottningholm and on the smaller surviving court theatre at another Swedish royal residence, Gripsholm Castle in Sodermanland."
